1st day of filming

On the first day of filming, we went to Asda and asked if we could film. Sadly, the manager said that we wasn't allowed, so we hd to proceed to sainsburys as our back up. Thankfully, they said we could quickly film for a small period of the time, so we had to quickly film the shots and get out of there. We then went to jakes house to try and finish the shots, however, we couldn't create fake blood so we had to wait until later in the week. I feel we worked very well as a team.

Rough Sketch/Explanation of location and key points to note
We plan to do it in the car park and so we decided the asda car park. Its very spacious and not so cramped, in our narrative we wanted somewhere where the main character can shop and then go towards the car park.

Access to location via:
Bus or Car

Name and number of location contact:
ASDA Dagenham Superstore
Merrielands Crescent
Dagenham, Essex RM9 6SJ

Health and Safety Issues to note:
·                Car Park so need to be careful of the cars that pass by
·                Car parks can be busy, with trolley and kids passing by so making sure we don't knock or bump into anything
·                Rainy days so making sure we all wear appropriate footwear so no one gets injured. E.g. slip and beak an ankle.
Potential Filming Problems :

     ●    Making sure the camera is charged, so it doesn't die out on the the day of shooting
·                Making sure the camera doesn't drop as its outside and it  is concrete.
·                Keeping all the equipment together as its a busy car park and could potentially get lost.

Shot List

Preliminary Task Evaluation

Our preliminary task was avery quick, 40 second film. We had been given a list of techniques to use, and these were: Match on Action, Eye line match, shot reverse shot and 180 angle degree rule.

Straight away, we started with a Match on Action. We had Manjeet walk through the door from the outside and then cut to her coming through the other side. The match on action was successful, and I feel this could be something we'll use when doing our Thriller.
"match on action"

We then attempted doing an eyeline match, with me looking towards the clock then cutting to the clock ticking. I believe the shot could be better, so if the group decided to use this in a real film we'd have to make sure it was filmed better. i believe it isn't completely clear to the audience its an eyeline match.

We then shot the shot reverse shots through the use of dialogue. This meant we could have a lot
of shot reverse shot because we had a fair
amount of dialogue in the film. Obviously this would be effective in a final film, and something that would be the first shots we'd mention when doing the planning/ shot list. We also tried to film this sticking to the 180 degree rule.
